Project Overview
A utility tool built to migrate and synchronize data between two SQL Server databases, used for consolidating transactional data (such as stock, sales and consumption records) from branch or legacy databases into a central system.
The tool was modernized from a legacy .NET Framework console application to current .NET, adopting async/await patterns, Microsoft.Data.SqlClient for connectivity, and configuration via appsettings.json so that source and destination connections can be managed without recompiling the application.
Key Features
Two-way DB Connectivity
Configurable source and destination connection strings for flexible database-to-database transfers.
Async Data Processing
Async/await based batch processing for faster, non-blocking transfers of large record sets.
Config-driven Setup
appsettings.json based configuration so connection and transfer settings can be changed without code changes.
Error & Log Handling
Structured logging and error handling to track failed records and transfer status.
